17/11/25 – Silver is now on the us critical minerals list

The United States has recently added silver to its national critical minerals list (which also includes zinc and lead), recognising the metal’s importance in everyday technologies, renewable energy and modern infrastructure. This follows the NSW Government’s own decision in 2024 to include silver in its Critical Minerals and High-Tech Metals Strategy and classify silver as one of only five priority metals.

For Bowdens Silver, this growing international recognition highlights the key role Australian projects can play in supplying the materials needed for cleaner energy and modern technology. Silver is especially important in solar panels, and the global demand for these technologies continues to rise.

At the same time, global silver production has remained relatively flat, which means new and reliable sources of supply such as the Bowdens Silver Project are becoming increasingly important. Recent technical work at Bowdens has continued to deliver strong results, with higher-grade samples and very encouraging drilling outcomes.

The Bowdens Silver Project is currently being assessed by the NSW Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure. As the Project moves through the redetermination process, we continue to progress the Definitive Feasibility Study with these results expected in 2026.
