Australia’s Largest Undeveloped Silver Deposit Nearing Development

Bowdens Silver is a local resource company 100% owned by ASX-listed Silver Mines Limited. The Bowdens Silver Project is located near Lue approximately 26 kilometres east of Mudgee, and it is Australia’s largest undeveloped silver deposit and one of the largest globally. Once developed, the Project will mine silver with zinc and lead by-products via open-cut mining methods over 16.5 years. The project life has the potential to increase significantly.

Strengthening the state's economy and regional resilience

The Project will provide significant capital investment into the State and also has the added benefit of diversifying the local mining landscape within the Mid-Western Region that currently relies on coal to generate approximately 62% of the overall economic output.

320 construction jobs and 228 ongoing roles

The mine will create 320 jobs during construction, alongside 228 ongoing jobs throughout mining operations, bringing significant long-term economic and social benefits for local communities across Lue, Kandos, Rylstone, Mudgee and the broader Mid-Western region.
